Stopped just off the Chesterton exit to take photos of the tall grasses. I love looking at them sway in the breeze and the kind of glisten when the sun passes through them. I have been wanting to stop for quick snap several times and finally did today.
Then off to take photos and have a late lunch with the girls.

South st beach in January!!! The weather in Chicago has been completely wonderful and I am trying very hard to take advantage of it .... I am sure snow is just around the corner.
Oh and whipped up a batch of crepes today and attempted to recreate the coconut and macadamia nut delight I had in Hawaii. Mine wasn't quite the same, but good none the less.

My tieks arrived today ... been looking at these for a while. They seem to be all the rage amont the Hollywood types in terms of ballet flats. I saw a deal for % off and decided to take the plunge. They are a super cute package - who doesn't love a blue box? Am I right girls? Anyhoo... tried them on and they are comfortable because they have some cushion on the bottom (rare) but there is so little fabric that comes up and over the foot I feel like they are going to fall off my feet when I walk. And I have major toe cleve... not sure I'm in love with these and am so disappointed about that.
