I have so many things I need/want to do, yet I could hardly peel myself off the lounger on the balcony. We had the loveliest day, so I just sat outside soaking it in. The kids enjoy the afternoon sun - rough life they've got huh?

Finally leased a new car!! It's been about two months in the making - lots of test drives, comparing of bells & whistles and haggling to get a price that I'm happy with... The car buying/leasing process is just downright unpleasant. So it's finally done and I am now the proud owner of a Volvo crossover SUV!  Weeeeee!

Mom was showing me all of the vintage treasures she found while cleaning out her mother's house. Amazing and delicate little dresses, fabric, photos and a couple of cameras. She even found the flash to the Brownie grandma gave me a few years back!

And... How cool is this fabric? Gotta be 30 years old or more and totally in style!

220 far above the golden valley

Glorious to view indeed.

Spent longer in Manhattan than I had planned, just couldn't leave those Magees! But, I did manage to roll into town before the Union closed to stock up on some KU swag (one can never have enough), and snap a few photos of campus.

221 the hills are alive

Hiked up to the top of the Konza to find the most beautiful view of the Flint Hills. It's a really nice hike, and totally worth it. I'm so glad I was able to talk Bethany into it! She's a pretty good travel friend!

Oh, and we even ran into a couple that just got engaged, at sunset. How cute is that?
