Jan 17 2015 : jump : this was an interesting prompt for me today. A real challenge to be able to take a shot of yourself and jumping. I went down to the beach to see what kind of landscape was down there and actually ended up loving the fact that the mounds of sand covered in snow met the clouds and you could really not tell where One stopped in the other began. So then I had another idea of jumping in water puddles, I always see fun pictures of this I wanted to give it ago myself. It proved much more difficult than I had imagined, but I'm pretty happy with this outcome.

10 on 10 { Nov 2013 }

Super Sunday!!!  Seriously a fabulous day!!  So glad It was the 10th so I had some fun things to share for the November's 10 on 10 challenge! Started the day with some tea - because no day can begin without my tea!  Then a selfie to show off my fabulous Target find - chevron infinity scarf { love } Then off to brunch at Beatrix - where they have super cool light fixtures and even better food! { that's caramel pie, oh yes it is! }  Met my cousin and his boyfriend - haven't seen them in forever it seems - so great to catch up with them!  Then I was off to Bucktown for pizza and beer at my favorite Piece before the show!  With quick little pitstop on my friend's rooftop for a peek at the view - I think I would sleep up there if this was what I'd wake up to!!  Oh and then my love, John Legend, sang to me (and a few other people) for a couple of hours!  The perfect end to a Sunday!  Here's hoping for a great week!!

beach bum

I have become a real beach bum this summer... dunno why, but I am glad I am finally taking advantage my proximity to the beach.  I especially love it when the wind is coming in over the lake, makes waves that look and sound like the ocean.  It's a really great "second" if you know what I mean... 

Sunday ride

The beautiful weather we've been having has really inspired me to get out of the house!  Be outside.  Soak it all in! Saturday was beach day - loved every second.  And today I dusted off the bike - yes, I really had to dust it off, it has been that long since I rode it - aired up the tires and took a 4 mile spin.  This must be what it feels like to live in California.

the weekend

Had a great weekend - drove to Chesterton to hang with my girls Holly and Sloane and to hit the European Market so I could pick up some yummy goodies.  Rosemary flatbread, homemade granola - that's to die for! - locally made cheese and Ben's Soft Pretzels!  Hands down the best soft pretzel I've ever had!!  Got to sneak in a little time with the cutest little girl you ever did see - Sloane.  I mean look at those blue eyes!  And she gives me the funniest faces! 

And then Sunday was the most beautiful day.  I took a walk, hit the gym and snaped a selfie for the G+ Sunday Selfie project.  All iPhone ... I am getting very lazy about taking out the "big" camera ... But with the revamped VSCOcam, I just gotta tell you ... I'm loving it!  I even love how it makes the photo fill the screen while it's saving the image to the camera roll! 

10 on 10 { feb 2013 }

I remembered!  I remembered!  Today I snapped a LOT of photos, but made sure to grab one per hour so I could be true to the 10 on 10 challenge!  Spent the day at the Museum of Science and Industry, my favorite Chicago museum, with the Pittman's!  I wanted to go to catch the Peanuts exhibit - and crazy -Holly, Jeff and Bella had never been before... what!?!  They totally loved it.  YaYa always knows the best places to go!

Testing my new lens today after work and I am really loving it. I was never a fan of the 'nifty fifty' but the 1.4 is so fast and just soaks in light ... it's dreamy!

197 soaking in sunday

Started the day off with a massage at Asha - she killed me, but I felt great after.  Then met my friend Amanda at the street fair in our neighborhood - ate street food, shopped and just enjoyed the beautiful day.  Home to the kitties, finally watched the Fab Five (basketball documentary) and chatted with the P's for birthday and father's day wishes.  Hope you had a beautiful Sunday too!
