302 { sloane 3 months }
Today was Sloane's 3 month photoshoot ... I got a few goodies, but not really what I wanted. I really need to get a light meter before the 4 month shoot. I just seem to never have enough light! She's a super cutie and is so cooperative with a giant lens in her face! This will not be one of those kids that shies away from the camera! Not while Ya Ya is around!! Momma brought funny hats for us to try today ... gonna have to do that bee hat again! Totally out of focus ...but I still love it!
And while we were tending to the little one, Bella kept Phoebe company! She loves her some Phoebe!
303 pancake kind of day
It's that famous shade of Chicago winter gray today, cold and I am completely unmotivated to get out and about. Despite the fact that I have a million places I need to go. So it's going to be one of those domestic kind of days... laundry, cleaning and crap TV (currently watching Bring It On - ha!). What better way to start a cozy day than with homemade pancakes!?!
I saw a recipe over on Rockstar Diaries blog (and Pinterest) and just had to try it. It's ridiculous easy - took longer for the oven to heat than to mix and cook the pancake! It came out a lot more dense than I thought - I wonder if you whipped egg whites and folded in if that would fluff it up a little bit? It's super delicious and I love that it just begs for some kind of filling in the middle. I only had maple syrup and powered sugar in the house, but berries, bananas, apples or maybe even chocolate would be good. Think open face crepe fillings! Go get your pancake on!

305 : ona camera bag
I was so excited to get this bag ... been flirting with it for a while now and finally found it back in stock. I will say the quality of the leather is very nice. It doesn't look like a camera bag at all - you'd never know someone was carrying a camera inside. { love that } And it's surprisingly light weight too!
The interior is beautifully padded, modular and qutie roomy. I was hoping that it might hold my 13" MBAir - sadly it will not, but the iPad fits perfect. This bag would be THE perfect "everyday" camera bag.
My only complaint { and it's kind of a big one for me } is that the crossbody strap is quite short. 18" does allow it to be worn crossbody, but it's a tall bag and rides quite high on my body. And if I'm all bundled up in my Chicago winter gear { read puffy down coat } it feels really small. I want it to extend to 21" or so where it would fit more toward my hip. This would make it easier to access the contents. Rigth now it feels rather awkward. I truly love everything about it but this ... wondering if I can find a strap extender or something ??

It's leap day! And yes, I'm a huge dork, and tried to take a picture of myself leaping off the ground while at the beach during lunch today.

If only I could. I currently have the WORST upstairs neighbor. He listens to his surround sound movies so loud that I can hear them over the top of my own TV. I have spoken to him in person and via email and he blows it off every time. He is the only renter in our condo building, so doesn't care if his neighbors like him like the rest of us do. I PRAY that he will not renew his lease. I have copied the owner of that unit on all of my emails to him and if the situation does not improve will likely have to talk to him and the board about not allowing him to stay for another year. It's been a horrible year of noise and makes for a grumpy vettie. *frown*

... liquid dinner. I forgot to take a photo of my delicious lunch. So you get my instant breakfast for dinner. Yum.
P.S. I will be happy when this photo challenge is over. Not sure why, but I am totally uninspired by the list ... ready to get back to finding something unique each day.
