(26) up close :: almost time to hula... and I cannot wait! Work has been nothing short of horrible the last few weeks. I am so glad I planned a second trip to Hawaii this year! It is time for me to go spend time with friends and soak up some sun. Pray I do not get a week full of rain again.
(25) something pink :: I almost forgot about today's photo... thank goodness for the flowers across the street from the office and some afternoon sun! The weather has been absolutely perfect the last week and supposed to last thru the weekend. Gotta get out and enjoy some of these beauties before they are gone!
(24) animal :: I could have taken a photo of the cats, but... in light of the sad news from Apple, I decided to go with a "mouse."
It's unbelievably sad to see a designer like Steve Jobs pass at such a young age. Only 56 and look at the product he's delivered to consumers worldwide. Imagine what more he could have done... For now, I will simply say thank you. Thank you for your passion. Thank you for your creative solutions. Thank you for your attention to detail. Thank you for thinking outside the box. Thank you for the iPod. Thank you for the iPad. Thank you for the iPhone. Thank you Steve Jobs for enriching my life.
P.S. What was your first Apple product? Mine was a PowerPC 5100 in 1992 and I think it cost somewhere around $6000 for the computer, monitor and printer. Yikes! We sure have come a long way!!!
(23) sunflare :: I LOVE iPhone lens flare! I purposely shoot directly into the sun with my iPhone because I love the awesome bursts it produces. I had to pick my boss' daughter up from school today and we made a quick pit stop at the Baha'i Temple to get some shots. It's an architectural masterpiece. That's her in the funny hat covering her face with cheddar booty container - no, don't take my picture. I don't like to have my picture taken ... Kids!
and French cuff shirts that make an ordinary shirt extraordinary? We had clients in from the UK last week and had told them we have a very casual work environment. And since it was going to be an all day work session, to come in something comfortable. They had simple button down shirts and casual pants, but French cuffs and links. Honestly, you just don't find that here in the US. It's a really nice touch!
(22) hands :: this is where my hands spend 75% of their day ... I log waaaaaaaaay too much computer time in a day. I'm workin' the mouse all day at the office and then come home to all my RSS feeds.
Oh and did you notice my Missoni for Target score under my computer? So excited for a spur of the moment ottoman find. There were a hand full of items in the store, but they were all scattered about and way in the back of the store. I even got $20 off because this particular item was a return from the online store. Sweet!

(21) faceless self portrait : Simply a beautiful Fall day here in Chicagoland. I decided to pop over to the beach to snap a quick pic. This beach is about 10 blocks from my house and I so do not take advantage of it. Note for next year ... more beach time!!
I cannot believe it's October already!! The leaves will soon be changing and the air will become crisp and I will escape for a quick week to the Aloha state! I am hopeful October will be an excellent month!!
(20) bokeh !! I love bokeh! Finally got the Fall decor out - twinkle lights make for excellent bokeh! This is my other kitty, Lucy. She and I had a date with the vet today for her annual check up. She's all good, but gained a pound and a half in one year! Yikes!! Gonna have to put my girl on a diet!

Hope you are having an excellent Saturday! The sun is finally out in Chicago, but it's still a little on the cool side... So I've stayed in catching up on magazines, DVR, photo editing and all things that are refreshing and relaxing. It was a very long and crazy week last week.
(19) something orange :: For one, maybe two months out of the year I get to partake in one of my favorite Halloween candies - the mallow pumpkin. It's full of sugar and all sorts of manufactured crap and I love it. Candy corn is fun too, but for some reason I just love these little guys ...
